Analysis of Microplastics in Water and Biofilm Matrices in Lahor Reservoirs, East Java, Indonesia

One of the aquatic ecosystems that are very susceptible to contamination is reservoir ecosystem. Reservoirs have different characteristics from other water bodies because they receive continuous input river flows through them. The contains organic and inorganic materials can cause pollution caused by various kinds human activities. pollutant currently getting more attention microplastics. Hence, ways developed monitor presence microplastics in environments. biotic component may adsorb accumulate microbes formed biofilm matrices as a predominant habitat. This study analyzes Lahor Reservoir. parameters (pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, flow velocity) were also measured. Samplings carried out at three stations, namely station A (inlet channel), B (middle), C (outlet channel). revealed quality still relatively good according environment's standards. average value microplastic abundance was 0.0013 particles.mL-1, 0.00083 0.00072 particles.mL-1. A, B, 7.55 particles.g-1, 7.26 4.59 particles.gram-1, respectively. indicates Reservoir thousands times higher than water.
